The Western Magic District Basketball Club would like to provide an update on committee membership, following our recent AGM.
We would like to welcome Matt McDonald, Paul Zbierski and Tanya Hampton to the committee.
We would also like to thank Matt Baker, Cameron Richards, Giosi Marshman, Darren Marshman, Rachel Thomas, and Tom McManus who will continue, we thank them for their ongoing commitment.
Matt and Tanya join the committee as general members.
Paul was successfully elected to the position of secretary at the AGM. After reflection and broader discussion, Paul has decided to not take up this role due to the criticality and demands upon it during the current transition in seasons and associated team nominations.
Paul will assume a position on the committee in the position of Sponsorship & Fundraising Coordinator, an important role that the committee has been lacking for some time.
The committee has filled the resultant casual vacancy of Secretary, with the appointment of Leanda Freeman through until the 2024 AGM. At this time the committee will again take nominations for the position. Leanda has been pivotal in this role for some years and the committee is grateful that she has agreed to continue.
We welcome our new committee members with the experience that they bring and look forward to their contribution moving forward. Many thanks for being a part of the on-going success of the club at this very exciting time.
