The fun day allowed all players within the club to participate in teams of mixed ages and be captained by our senior players hoping to become our club champions.
We had 14 teams participate & players aged from U10 through to U/18, which saw 70 junior players and 14 senior players try and win the Bell Cup. The cup is in honour of the Bell family who have been heavy involved at Magic from the very start.
The Grand Final was played between:
Magic Yellow – Jarrod (captain) Jade, Alex, Jordan, Tiani & Jake
Magic Pink – Big Jo (captain) Brayden, Emily, Benita, Nathaneal & Michael
The grand final was a very close game with Jarrod drawing the game with a 3 pointer in the dying seconds with the final score 14-14, with no extra time to spare we had a shoot out from the foul line with both captains having one shot which saw the Magic Yellow become our WINNERS.
We also held 4 shooting competitions throughout the afternoon and the winners were:
- U/10 – Cameron Payne
- U/12 – William Haufe
- U/14 – Emily Cox
- U/16 / Open – David Vincekovic
A special thanks to the committee for organizing this event and a big thankyou to our fun day parents who helped with umpiring, scoring and our court supervisors without you this wouldn’t have been possible.
We would also like to thank all the players that helped out with umpiring & scoring it was great to see so many of you get involved and make this day such a success.
